NCAA...who needs you?

Where is my Country?
(by R.P.Edwards)

Where is my country?
Where has it gone?
This place where I live
Says living…is wrong
Babies are fodder
Marriage…abased
Leaders…lead downward
Surrender our place
Where is my country?
The one born divine
Rights, from God given
Our mantra now, “Mine!”
Changing the words
Once sacred, revered
Twisted for bidding
Of those…without fear
Yes, where is my country?
It’s dying
Near death
It languishes
Gasping…out
Freedom’s…last breath

“All I want for my son is for him to grow up knowing how to do the right thing."  This “offensive” caption goes along with the picture of a father…holding his young son.  And so, the Focus on the Family ad…is pulled from the NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association) website.

The question:…who finds this benign, family oriented ad offensive?  Who, by their sweeping denial, label a decades old faithful support of traditional family and Christian values…extreme?  The answer: The new (not so new, rather) spokesmen of right and wrong; that is, the godless academics to whom we send our precious children and subsidize with our hard earned tax dollars.

Okay, just for fun, let’s look at a couple of the “Core Values” of the NCAA, as given on their website.  The section begins:  The Association - through its member institutions, conferences and national office staff - shares a belief in and commitment to:

-inclusive culture that fosters equitable participation for student-athletes and career opportunities for coaches and administrators from diverse backgrounds.

-Respect for institutional autonomy and philosophical differences.

Now, dear reader, some in the egg-head (many, I dare say) have interpreted these words as a support “for” all manner of sexual lifestyles and, of course, the unhindered destruction of human life in the womb (abortion), and “against” those who hold traditional views.  Thus, “right” is now “wrong,” and “good” is now “evil.”

You know, they weary me; these prominently placed proclaimers who try to shove their damnable perversions down our throat.  Oh, I know, that’s a bit harsh.  But the destruction of my America demands truth, and that, brother, is in short supply, especially in the ivy covered palaces.

But, before I end this little rant, a simple query:  This America.  This land of liberty which we have inherited.  Did it come; was it birthed, was it died for, was it sacrificed for, was it tirelessly worked for…by those who more closely resemble the fine people of Focus on the Family, or by the robed elites who hand out diplomas and delusional diatribes like candy?  The answer is obvious.

Here’s a link to Focus on the Family.  You be the judge.  http://www.focusonthefamily.com/

That’s what I think.  How about you?  Click comments below…and say.
