Foundational

Forgetful
(by R.P.Edwards)

Those before
They mixed and poured
And built upon
The base
But children rise
Parents despise
And leave to theirs
Disgrace

And so, this day, the Republican hopefuls (voters, that is) are (the ones who didn't do that "in advance thing") going to the polls in Indiana to help get their "guy" closer to the GOP Nominee position.

I, a Union Steelworker (currently laid off), should, theoretically (I suppose) be more interested in the exaltation of the Democratic candidate; Ms Clinton. Why? Well, because, as everyone knows WE union folk are solidly in the Democratic camp.

TO HELL WITH THAT!

Understand, as I see it the democratic party is the party of infanticide. And, since I'm a CHRISTIAN (in more than name) I want God's (you know, the Deity mentioned on our money and in the Declaration of Independence) blessing on this republic, AND since only republicans (some shallowly so, alas) seem to understand that murder is wrong I, and many like me, will throw our Union's recommendation to the circular file.

So, Indiana. I'm rooting for Trump. For me he meets the minimum requirement on the moral issues (I'm NOT voting for Pastor) and, frankly, he seems to understand that jobs and security are more important than which bathroom to pee in.

A final thought: Isn't it a shame that the Democratic party has been taken over by the PC priests and pastors and panhandlers? Years ago both parties had a grasp on the basic wrong and right stuff. No more. And wouldn't it be nice if Unions, for once (see previous post) stood up to the heretics who have hijacked Jefferson's offspring.

The Picture: Used a few weeks ago (for Easter ) this is a slab that was once the foundation to one of the many shot-gun type dwellings that surrounded the Steel Mill (in the background). Yes, the Mill is the very same one where my paychecks have come from (for the last two decades). It has been running on fumes lately and I felt a "walk-around" was needed. So, I put on my walking shoes and circled the facility. Took approximately 45 minutes. Walking and praying. And, when I saw the slab, it made me think of how "We the People" (for a variety of reasons) need to get back to basics. We need to locate the foundation of our ancestors... and build upon it.
